Start warming up the credit cards!  There are only 84 days to get your Christmas shopping done.

Monday is National Shopping Day, a day for Canadians everywhere to wear out the stripes on their Visas and Mastercards.

Shopping Channel host Norm Murray says it’s important to have a list and check it twice.

“With us — and anywhere you’re doing your shopping — you don’t have to spend a lot of money,” Murray tells 660News. “You can do it on a budget and yet still have impact and feel pride in what you’re giving, as well as the person feeling good about what they receive at the same time.”

Murray’s other advice: always keep an eye out for deals.  

“That name brand shop?,” muses Murray.  “That’s a good thing because we also have some of the best name brands in the world.”

He says you never know when you’ll come across unbeatable value.
