A man convicted of manslaughter in the death of his fiancée’s baby will find out his sentence Monday.
Daniel Berge was found guilty after he failed to get the child medical treatment.
Four-and-a-half-month-old Emelia died in August of 2007 from injuries Berge caused while trying to revive her from unconsciousness.
The Calgary Sun reports the crown is seeking a 10-year minimum sentence.
But Berge’s lawyer argues he is remorseful, and a two to five year sentence would be more appropriate.
