A scary night for some residents in Bridgeland.

They thought the structure was on fire but all the smoke in the air was due to a major grass fire.

Some four acres was consumed above Memorial Drive just west of Centre Street N.W. with crews putting out hot spots until around 3:30 Saturday morning.

The cause of the fire isn’t known but officials say conditions have been extremely dry.
