The first annual Doors Open YYC is officially underway.

35 facilities in all corners of the city are baring it all this weekend to provide tours and experiences designed for the event.

Executive Director of Lougheed House and Doors Open Association board member Blane Hogue tells 660News the event caters to everyone.

“There’s historic or cultural or sports or kind of mechanical, so there’s something for everybody, whether it’s families or singles or kids and also as well as being in those categories, it’s by quadrants,” Hogue says.

Some of the sites to check out: a historical classroom in the Beltline put on by the Calgary Board of Education and the Scotiabank Saddledome from ice level.

The Talisman Centre is also hosting a free open house to help mark Sports Day in Canada.
