One woman has been injured following an apartment blaze in the southeast community of Applewood.

Crews were called to the fourth floor unit at 10 o’clock Friday morning.

When they arrived, they were greeted with light smoke.

EMS Spokesman Adam Loria tells 660News the woman’s injuries were minor in nature.

“She had some burns but refused transport and stayed on scene,” he says. “Luckily this adult female was in stable condition”

There were no other injuries.

Investigators are still trying to determine what could have sparked the blaze.

It was extinguished quickly and kept to a single suite.

The building’s sprinkler system helped to contain the fire and keep it from spreading to other apartments.
