A man in his 50′s has been killed after a rollover crash late Wednesday afternoon on southbound QE II at the Crossfield overpass.

EMS spokesman Stuart Brideaux tells 660News, they were called to the scene shortly before 5 o’clock.

He says no other people or vehicles were involved in the crash and the investigation has been turned over to RCMP.

It’s believed the driver lost control of his vehicle as he travelled down the on-ramp onto southbound QE II but it’s still not known what caused him to lose control.

The on-ramp and one lane of southbound QE II were closed for about 2 hours as a result.
