It’s only happened three times in the last five years; a cougar was found roaming through a residential area in Pincher Creek Monday afternoon.
Bylaw and RCMP were able to locate and trap the cat, which was a little overwhelmed by all the attention he’d garnered.
Fish and Wildlife officers then tranquilized the cougar without causing any harm to the animal or public.
Mounties say it was released back into the Castle area in the hopes it will find that area more appealing.
