Three Calgary men have been arrested after a combined forces drug crackdown in the city.

Investigators stopped a car and searched two homes — one in Royal Oak, the other in Saddleridge — seizing cocaine, marijuana, weapons and more than $150,000 in cash.

Sergeant Paul Wozney tells 660News it’s about more than just putting a dent in the drug industry.

“It’s one of those situations where we took a thousand hits of cocaine out of the hands of the users and the people that are addicted,” says Wozney. “So we look at that as a small success, but a success nonetheless.”

“It’s not really something where we’re looking at the biggest victory in the world here,” Wozney continues, “but it is something where we know that this does have an influence on the community.  And if anything else hopefully, we can convince these drug traffickers that this isn’t a business that they should be in.”

27 year old Glenn Jeffrey Lomore, 28 year old Quoc Viet Tran and 24 year old Naheed Karim Vriani now face various charges.
