A two vehicle crash in the southeast Tuesday has sent a mother and her two children to hospital.
The crash happened around 6:15 p.m. at the intersection of 84th Street and 114th Avenue when a minivan was t-boned by a pickup truck.
While the injuries to the kids are not considered life threatening, one of them has suffered a bad enough head injury that EMS rushed them both to hospital.
Duty Inspector Paul Stacey tells 660News they believe they know what caused the crash, “…it looks like someone ran a red light, but we have yet to determine who yet, we’re still interviewing witnesses and we have to speak to the mother who was driving the minivan.”
The man driving the truck was uninjured while the woman driving the van with her two children, who police believe are both under five years old was also taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
