A state of the art technology centre is now open at the Bowness Boys and Girls Club.
It is part of the Rogers Youth Fund Program.
The Rogers Technology Centre has donated 12 computers and four touch screens.
Students who are part of the Rogers Raising the Grade Program will work with mentors to set up future goals for themselves using the technology.
The goals can be anything from homework to post-education planning.
Cecilia and her sister Anya are excited to be using the centre:
“Everybody in there, the atmosphere is pretty cool and everybody is having a good time…a couple of people are already using it for homework,” said Cecilia
Keith Pelley, President and Chief Executive Officer Media, Rogers Communications says it’s all about giving kids a helping hand.
“We’re a leader in innovation, we’re a leader in technology, so actually creating something like this for the kids to use is a terrific way to give back to the community,” said Pelley.
