A 24-year-old man from Red Deer has been charged with second degree murder in the death of a Calgary woman back in February.

Police say Nathan Desharnais has also been charged with Offering Indignity to Human Remains in the death of 27-year-old Talia Nellie Megunis.

Meguinis’ body was found on February 22 at the Riverside Industrial Park in Red Deer.

Officers say the Calgary woman arrived in Red Deer only 5 days before.

Police are not releasing the cause of her death.

Desharnais will appear in court Wednesday.
