Family looks for closure in missing Medicine Hat woman's death

The body of a Medicine Hat woman still hasn’t been found three months after she went missing, but a 34-year-old man faces charges of second degree murder.

Amy Lewis went missing June 13th; although police believe she’s dead, they’ve been unsuccessful in their search of a nearby river.

A family spokesperson says some of her family members have resigned themselves to the fact that she is gone and they may never find her remains.

Her family tells The Calgary Herald she was an athletic, energetic, beautiful young woman who loved her pets and taking on new challenges.

The man charged in her death appears in court Thursday.
