A fundraiser will be held this weekend for a volunteer-run cancer centre in Calgary.
The U of C’s Thrive Centre offers survivors and patients free access to a special gym with trained and supportive staff.
Thrive coordinator Lauren Capozzi tells 660News it’s a one of a kind treatment centre.
She says exercise has been proven to be one of the best ways to fight the fatigue of cancer treatment and get back to a normal life.

The event begins at 9 a.m. at the U-of-C by the Olympic Oval.
Money raised will help organizers train more volunteers and buy new equipment.
