A man is expected to face firearms charges after firing off a rifle in the city’s southeast Saturday morning.

Officers were called to the 15-hundred block of Robson Crescent in Albert Park, just after midnight.

Calgary Police Duty Inspector Paul Stacey tells 660News, the man had apparently fired the gun into the air during a domestic dispute at a barbecue.

It’s believed alcohol was involved.

Police took a number of people in for questioning, including the man with the gun.

No one was hurt.
