A Calgary sex offender will find out Friday how much time he will serve for abducting a young girl, after his sentencing was delayed Thursday.
John Francis Dionne was forced to wait an extra day when the provincial court judge had a family emergency.
Dionne has been convicted of kidnapping and impersonating a police officer.
He admitted he approached a 10-year-old girl at Deerfoot Mall in February 2011 and told her he was police and forced her to come with him to his van.
According to The Calgary Sun, the crown prosecutor is seeking a sentence of up to 11 years.
