The ribbon is being cut Friday on a new fire hall in the city’s southeast.
Calgary firefighters are celebrating the grand opening of the Douglas Glen Fire Station on 114th Avenue with a special ceremony and barbecue.
The event will also include tours of the new facility.
The new fire house will serve over 57,000 Calgarians in Douglas Glen, Douglasdale, and Shepard.
It will also house Calgary’s first specialized Fire Investigation Bay.
