Hundreds of seniors and their family members will try to set a Bruce Lee-inspired Guinness World Record.

The goal is to get 250 of them taking part in a chair-based exercise for 30 minutes at a seniors community in the northeast.

One of the organizers Silvana Saccomani, tells 660News in this case, they’ll be doing Kung Fu but while seated and with canes.

“Cane fu is really derived from martial arts. Like we know Bruce Lee does it in his action films and we’ve modified it. So it’s a mixture of self defence and exercise,” Saccomani says.

Although no officials from Guinness will be on hand, MLA Wayne Cao has volunteered to be an independent witness.

The world record attempt is being held at the Silvera for Seniors’ Aspen Community at 2 p.m. Sunday.

This also happens to be National grandparents Day.
