Calgary Health Trust’s third annual NOV Wilson 3 on 3 Hockey Challenge is set to take place Saturday.

The event is once again supporting Calgary Neonatal Intensive Care Units.

Former Calgary Flames forward Craig Conroy is once again the celebrity chair for the tournament.

He tells 660News he’ll be playing a lot of hockey along with other Former Flames like Paul Kruse, Tony Stiles, Dwayne Hay, Craig Levie, Dennis Polonich and Mark Astley.

“I play with every team so I don’t play with any one team but I start at 8 o’clock in the morning and move around and hang around with the guys and talk to who ever comes in and just have a good time with it,” Conroy says.

A KidsZone featuring face painting, balloon artists and a bounce house will run from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Calgarians will also have a chance to meet Olympic gold medalists Denny Morrison and Christine Nesbitt.

The event has raised over $350,000 over three years which will enhance equipment for NICU’s at the Foothills Medical Centre, Peter Lougheed Centre and Rockyview General Hospital.

These units provide specialized care to premature newborns. Calgary has the most premature births each year in Alberta.
