A high-risk sex offender will continue to wear his monitoring ankle bracelet despite complaints the device is giving him an allergic reaction.

A judge has ruled further testing must be done to determine whether the device is having an adverse effect on Henri Jean Rusk.

Dermatologist Dr. Laurie Parsons testified Rusk’s injuries may also be caused by a lack of sensation in his feet.

Rusk’s lawyer asked for the bracelet to be removed at least temporarily so he could heal his wounds.

The Calgary Sun says the judge ordered Rusk report back in three weeks once more tests have been completed.
