Police have officially identified the shooting victim in Dover from last week as Amy Marie Sands, 27, on the same day her accused killer made his first court appearance.

Jesse George Hill is charged with second degree murder in the case after Sand’s body was found along Dover Meadows close early last Friday morning.

His lawyer Adriano Iovenelli says his client would like to have a bail hearing as soon as possible.

“There was some indication that the Crown wanted a month adjournment in order to put some disclosure together. That is way too long, Mr. Hill is anxious to see the disclosure and the evidence against him and of course we are anxious as well to address his release on these matters,” said Iovenelli.

The case has been put over to September 19th.
