After a well received speech from the now official Republican presidential candidate, Mitt Romney, it’s time to hit the campaign trail.
One of the big headlines made at the Republican convention, besides Romney’s acceptance speech, was the odd speech given by Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood.
Eastwood’s “make my day” line and his off the cuff chat to an empty chair that was supposed to be President Barack Obama sparked jokes all across the Twitterverse.
All jokes aside, during his speech Romney had a more serious message for the voters of America.
“This president can tell us it was someone else’s fault, this president can tell us that the next four years he’ll get it right, but this president can’t tell us that you’re better off now than when he took office,” Romney said.
Romney also spoke about his plan for the economy, a focal point of the American election.
“What is needed in our country today is not complicated or profound, what America needs is jobs, lots of jobs,” Romney said.
Although he gave no details, Romney said he has a five-point plan for the American economy that would produce up to 12-million jobs.
