Natural gas rates are going down in Alberta.
Direct Energy Regulated Services says these rates will apply to customers who have not chosen a supplier within the ATCO Gas territories.
For customers who live in and north of Red Deer, the September regulated natural gas rate will be one dollar and 83 cents per gigajoule, down from two dollar and 31 cents in August.
For those south of Red Deer, the rate will be one dollar and 70 cents per gigajoule, down from two dollars and 18 cents the previous month.
The rates have been verified by the Alberta Utilities Commission.
