There were some tense and dangerous moments on a number of Calgary streets Thursday morning.
A man in a stolen vehicle sped through Calgary trying to evade police.
It ended and began in the northeast and went everywhere in between, from the northeast to southeast industrial areas to urban Calgary, ending at Sunridge mall.
“There was a number of instances where high speed was involved, disobeying rules of the road which made it dangerous for any intervention by the Calgary Police Service,” said Duty Inspector Shawn Wallace.
He says cruisers used surveillance to watch the car from a safe distance.
Wallace says the police helicopter, HAWCS, watched from the sky as well.
The man was arrested after he fled on foot into the mall and faces numerous charges.
