A man who spent time in prison with the accused killer of two St. Albert seniors now fears for his life.
The man, who cannot be named, helped RCMP with an undercover investigation of Travis Vader.
Vader is charged with two counts of first degree murder in the deaths of Lyle and Marie McCann, whose trailer was found engulfed in flames 20 kilometres east of Edson in 2010. Their bodies have never been located.
Vader’s former cellmate was serving time for an assault charge and signed a partial contract with witness protection to help police.
The man now says he feels he and his family are not safe, and feels witness protection has left him hanging.
