The parents of a boy killed in a freak longboarding accident are overwhelmed by the amount of support from their son’s classmates.
Dozens of kids from the 13-year-old’s school have flocked to a roadside memorial for the teen, consoling one another and leaving flowers and notes.
Duncan McRae died Tuesday after he hit a curb longboarding and fell onto a cable fence.
Duncan’s mother Sandy McRae told The Calgary Herald she was touched by how many people came to share their condolences.
She says Duncan was eager to start Grade 8 at nearby Samuel W. Shaw School next week.
