There is talk the town of Fort Macleod may sue after the province cancelled the construction of a police college there.

Around $2-million had already been spent on the project.

Justice Minister and Solicitor General Jonathan Denis told The Calgary Sun police around Alberta suggested the facility would be underused.

Fort Macleod Mayor Shawn Patience is calling the decision ‘a living nightmare’; as the college would have created 75 to 80 full time jobs in the community.

More than $120-million would have been shelled out for the project.
