MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – Authorities have located two brothers from Brampton, Ont., who were the subject of an amber alert after allegedly being abducted by their mother, Friday morning.
Peel Police said Louis Gallago-Hammadieh, 9, and Benny Gallago-Hammadieh, 8, were located with their mother on Friday around 7 p.m.
“Through our investigation, we were able to locate the mother and the two boys in New York state, so the mother is now in custody with the New York State Police and the boys were found safe and sound,” Constable Erin Cooper told 680News.
Investigators allege that Randa Hammadieh, 33, was with two unknown males when she took her two sons at 11:20 a.m. on Friday from a foster home.
“We believe they were abducted in front of Wildberry Crescent in Brampton, which is their foster home,” Const. Cooper said. “They are current wards of the [Children's Aid Society].”
The nature of the investigation – now a criminal one – means little information can be released to the public.
Investigators said all five parties were last seen heading towards Highway 410 in Brampton in a silver 2006 Dodge Caravan.
The two men, meanwhile, have not been located. Investigators say they are both in their 20′s. One is described as black with a very dark complexion, 5’10”, 170 lbs with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black do-rag, t-shirt and jeans.
The second is described as white, 6’2”, 160 lbs, thin build with short brown straight hair and a goatee. He was last seen wearing dark sunglasses and plaid shorts.
Anyone with information on the men is asked to call Peel Police’s 21 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau or Crime Stoppers.
