Calgary police are looking for more clues as they search for the man who stabbed another in the city’s downtown.

The wounds came from a fight that happened around 6:15 Sunday night in the 700 block of First Avenue Southwest, between the victim, two other men and a woman.

“It looks like a group of people just standing around having a conversation when some type of physical altercation took place. Leading to this assault with two males and a female running in an unknown direction,” Staff Sgt. Ralph Veckenstedt.

Veckenstedt adds they don’t have a description of the stabber and are looking for any information from the public on their appearance.

The victim has been upgraded to stable condition, but hasn’t been able to speak to police, who don’t believe the attack was random.
