The heroic actions of two passersby saved a little girl’s life in Fish Creek Park Saturday afternoon.
The six-year-old wandered away from her mother and shortly afterwards, was spotted floating face down in Sikome Lake.
Duty Inspector Paul Stacey tells 660News, a man pulled the child out of the water, then an off-duty nurse stepped in.
“She came over and started performing CPR on the child and was able to revive the six-year-old, just as EMS arrived on the scene. EMS wound up transporting the child to the children’s hospital,” explains Stacey.
The little girl is expected to recover.
