Two people avoid dire consequences in separate rodeo incidents Saturday afternoon.
The calls came into EMS around the same time period; the first one was to the Didsbury Rodeo Grounds where a man in his twenties was taken to the Calgary Trauma Centre.
“He was apparently a cowboy taking part in the bull-riding event. Unfortunately he was trampled by a bull, but transported to hospital in serious but luckily non-life threatening condition with some possible fractures.” said Loria.
Loria adds the second call came from the Airdrie Rodeo Grounds; reports indicate a person was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
