Police are hoping someone from the public might help them nab a driver who took off after clipping a cyclist leaving the victim unconscious on a south west Calgary street.
Just before 6:00 p.m. Sunday, June 24th, a 66-year-old man was on his bike in the area of 130 Avenue S.W. and Wood Valley Gate, when he was hit.
Allen Leier doesn’t remember the collision but it looks as though he was hit by the side mirror of a large vehicle.
After the collision, someone found Leier and helped him. The 66-year-old says he is so very grateful to that Good Samaritan.
“I really appreciate it, I’d like to get a hold of him and thank him properly,” said Leier.
