A man in his 50′s has been taken to hospital in serious, possibly life-threatening condition after a small plane crashed near Indus Thursday afternoon.

The crash happened about 12:20 and Cameron Heke with STARS tells 660News what’s happening.

“It’s still in it’s early stages but I know we’ve transported a patient to Foothills Medical Centre,” says Heke. “The only thing I can tell you right now is that at 12:32p.m. STARS did begin responding to the Indus-Chestermere area for an emergency.”    

There’s no indication as to the cause of the crash and 660News will have more information when it becomes available.
