Officials are still trying to figure out what to do with nearly two dozen dogs left behind by their murder suspect owner.
About 25 Blue Heelers remain at a ranch near Priddis, after Trevor Kloschinsky was taken into custody following the alleged fatal assault of peace officer Rod Lazenby.
Roland Lines with the SPCA tells The Calgary Sun caregivers are feeding and watering the animals until bylaw officials determine long-term care for the dogs.
Bylaw officials would not comment on the current conditions of the dogs, but there are reports they are being housed in an unpermitted fashion.
