A deadly crash in Calgary’s northwest Monday afternoon.
Around 2:20 p.m., a 79-year-old woman was trying to turn left onto Country Hills Boulevard from northbound Shaganappi Trail, but bypassed the dual turn lanes and didn’t have a right of way.
Duty Inspector Paul Stacey tells 660News her vehicle collided with a southbound Jeep on her passenger side being driven by a 19-year-old.
“The woman was transported to hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries,” Stacey said.
The intersection was closed for several hours.
Her identity has not been revealed.
