The man accused of killing peace officer Rob Lazenby made his first appearance in court Monday morning.

Trevor Kloschinsky appeared on CCTV wearing a blue remand jumpsuit.  He tried to push himself against the wall and did not face the camera.

He was represented by duty council, who says the 46-year-old dog breeder needs to see a physiatrist as soon as he can.

Council said he is not sure if Kloschinsky has a physical or mental health problem, but guards had to hold the phone to the accused ear so he could talk with his lawyer.

The 46-year-old is charged with first degree murder and will face a judge again tomorrow.
