A 25-year-old man is in Foothills Hospital following a skydiving accident near Beiseker.

Stars Air Ambulance was called at approximately 6:07 p.m. Saturday.

Kelly Brossart with STARS tells 660News, the man was transported in critical condition.

“This individual has suffered significant trauma after his parachute malfunctioned. The initial report that came into us is that he had fallen in the neighbourhood of 4,000 feet”, said Brossart.

The investigation is ongoing.
