Karine Sergerie, from Sainte-Catherine, Que., has won her first match in the women’s 67-kilogram taekwondo qualifying round on day 14 of the London 2012 Olympic Games, Friday.

Sergerie won the silver medal at Beijing 2008. The quarterfinal is scheduled for 10 a.m. ET.
