LONDON, England – Canada’s Adam van Koeverden won Olympic silver in the men’s K-1 1000m on day 12 of the London 2012 Olympic Games, Wednesday.
680News reporter Carl Hanstke watched the race with van Koeverden’s mother and spoke to her right after.
“She told me she doesn’t remember much about the race because she was too busy screaming. She knew that he had won a medal — she was just so proud of him,” Hanstke said.
