Serena Williams dominated Russia’s Maria Sharapova 6-0, 6-1 on Saturday to win gold in women’s singles at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
It was the first singles medal for the 14-time Grand Slam champion. She will vie for her third doubles gold medal with sister Venus Williams later Saturday.
