A politician and a woman who live along Highway 8 are adding their voices to the call for the road to be twinned.
Two teenagers were killed in crashes on the busy road west of Calgary this past week.
Wildrose MLA Bruce McAllister said it’s a dangerous highway that needs attention.
He told the Calgary Sun, “If you can’t figure out that Highway 8 needs to be twinned, you’re not driving it.”
Local resident Lenore Oler has spearheaded a social media campaign to press for action.
A friend of the two victims has also started an online petition at www.gopetition.com
