It’s only the beginning of August, but hundreds of Calgary Catholic School students are returning to their classrooms.

Although it may seem cruel to end their blissful summer break, a couple elementary school teachers say students are refreshed and ready to learn.

Bev Dutton and Brina Moriarty, both at Monsignor Neville Anderson School tell the Calgary Herald after only a four week break, year-round students haven’t had a chance to get bored and are more eager to be back then students who come back in September.

There are six Calgary Catholic School District schools that offer year-round education, drawing in over 681 students.
