LONDON, England – At the London 2012 Olympic Games the final of the women’s sculls rowing on Friday is expected to attract more female attention than normal.

The influx of females will not be as much for the race as it will be for the possible prize.

If British rowers Anna Watkins and Katherine Grainger win the women’s double sculls final, they have been promised a meet and greet with soccer great, and international sex symbol, David Beckham.

That prize has many women thinking about joining Team Great Britain.

“I want to do it as well! I want to meet him as well,” one woman was quick to exclaim. “I hope he takes us in a speedboat like he did with the torch. That would be cool.”

But what is it about Beckham that makes him so appealing to many?

“He’s a legend. He’s our hero. He’s absolute global. He’s hot as well. Damn hot. There’s no denying it,” explained one woman.

“The guy doesn’t age. He is still hot and he keeps reinventing himself. He looks different every time I see him. He’s hot, yea he’s hot,” said another.

When asked if they would rather Team GB win the gold or get a night with Becks, British women had a mixed reaction.

“I would love a date with David Beckham!” one woman said.

“A gold medal. It’s for life and David Beckham, I think, you may have to share with quite a number of people,” another woman stated.

Watkins and Grainger only get the “Beckham bonus” if they win gold.
