A Calgary man has died after crashing a stolen Suzuki street bike on a corner near Vulcan.

According to RCMP, 35-year-old Allan Collins was driving at a high rate of speed when he lost control, hit a ditch and was thrown from the bike.

RCMP were called to the scene just north of the Little Bow Provincial Park and Range Road 222 about 20 minutes southeast of Vulcan just before 1:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Collins was unresponsive when fire and EMS arrived and died on scene.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
