Car companies in Canada had a strong showing in July 2012 when compared to the same month in 2011.
Honda Canada combined with Acura reported a 27 per cent sales jump last month compared to July 2011, when sales suffered as a result of Japan’s earthquake and tsunami in the spring.
Meanwhile, South Korean automaker Hyundai posted a record for July 2012, selling more than 12,000 units, and Kia saw an increase of 20 per cent compared to one year ago.
Perhaps the happiest auto company is Ford of Canada, who reported its best July sales since 1979, while Toyota Canada said they had a 30 per cent hike thanks in part to a new July record for trucks across all brands.
