Weather seems to be better Sunday morning but Saturday afternoon was a different story for areas around Calgary.
The first warning came down around 3 o’clock Saturday afternoon for parts of Mountain View and Rocky View Counties.
Denisthi Bodeau from Environment Canada says they received several reports of a tornado touching down north of Bottrel which is south of Cremona.
“We can’t confirm it was a tornado but obviously we highly suspect it was; from the picture evidence we had,” Bodeau says.
Bodeau says they heard reports of a truck being knocked down on its side; several sheered off trees and damaged roofs.
He adds he didn’t hear anything about a twister near Gem but he didn’t rule out the possibility.
