Three families won’t be able to spend Sunday night in their homes after a two-alarm fire in the northeast community of Coventry Hills.

Just before 5:00 p.m. Sunday, emergency services responded to a house fire on Covewood Park.

Upon arrival, the bi-level house in the middle was fully engulfed as well as a non-attached garage; the house on the south side was also gutted, incurring major damage to the roof.

The majority of the fire was contained to those two homes with a third residence on the north side suffering damage as well.

Ian Todd from Enmax tells 660News, they cut power to five homes and have since restored power to just one of the homes.

There were no injuries and there’s no damage estimate.

The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.

Fire crews will remain on scene overnight to ensure no flare-ups occur in any of the homes.
