Calgarians’ took in Day 1 of the London 2012 Olympic Games on the 10 foot high big screen along Stephen Avenue between 2nd Street and 3rd Street.

Steven, who is originally from England, had a front row seat to watch the action on the big screen.

He tells 660News he has been impressed with the games so far, including the opening ceremonies.

“In comparison to Beijing which was spectacularly done, this was more like culturally done, just like Vancouver 2010,” Steven says.

Darren was enjoying a refreshment along with enjoying the action; He tells 660News he is expecting big things for our Canadian Athletes.

“I just hope that Canada does good. I’m hoping they do as good as they did in Beijing,” Darren says.
