Tsuu T’ina police are looking into whether a raw sewage leak on the reserve near the Elbow River was deliberately caused.
Pat Evans with the town of Redwood Meadows tells The Calgary Herald a contractor discovered a blockage inside the pipes last week.
The leak was fixed Friday, but Evans says it looked like somebody had put bags of pre-mixed cement and rocks in them to plug the pipes.
For two weeks, sewage was spilling onto the reserve from a pipe that takes waste from Redwood Meadows to a lagoon on Tsuu T’ina.
