A man in his 60′s is recovering in hospital in serious, but stable condition after being struck by a dump truck.
The collision happened just before 2:30 p.m. Monday at a work site in the southwest where the man was working as a flag person.
The truck was reportedly backing up at the site near Aspen Ridge Way and 75th Street when it struck the man, causing multiple injuries.
It’s believed the man was wearing required safety gear at the time including a helmet and reflective vest.
The Herald reports it’s not known whether charges will be laid.
Alberta Occupational Health and Safety is investigating.
