Calgary is the 4th Canadian city to welcome the UFC and fans aren’t missing out on any opportunity to soak it all in.
Thousands flocked to the Saddledome for weigh-ins Friday afternoon before Saturday night’s sold-out UFC149 Pay-Per-View event.
Over 18,000 fans will watch as and Urijah Faber and Renan Barao
go head to head in the main event, but there’s been quite a few changes to the original card.
Isaac spent over $1,500 for two tickets to Saturday’s event and says there’s one reason he didn’t think twice.
“Just the atmosphere, just to be able to go to an actual UFC show and see what it’s like,” he said.
“I’ve been to local shows but I mean, they’ve got the big van here and everything and I’ve seen fighters walking around town so it’s very exciting. I can’t wait to just get inside and see the lights.”
While fans don’t mind the card changes, scalpers do. Thousands of tickets are online being sold at inflated prices which likely, won’t be bought.
